Using Metakai

Metakai is a free, open-source fitness tracking app. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. By using it, you agree to these terms.

Not medical advice

Calorie targets, macro targets, weight predictions, calories burned, body fat estimates and training suggestions are estimates for general fitness purposes. They are not medical, nutritional or professional advice. Talk to a doctor or qualified professional before starting a diet or exercise program, especially if you are pregnant, under 18, or have a medical condition or a history of disordered eating.

Your data

Your data belongs to you and is stored on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping backups. The developer cannot recover data lost from your phone or your Google Drive.

Third-party services

Optional features use Google (Drive, Gemini), Groq and Open Food Facts. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms. If you add your own API keys, you are responsible for their use and any limits or charges set by those providers.

No warranty

Metakai is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the app.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
